Our Mission

The mission of Southern Iowa Resources for Families, Inc. is to enhance quality of life, promote individual dignity and empower people to live as naturally interdependent as possible in our communities.

To accomplish our mission, we will commit to:

  1. Identify, develop and provide quality services necessary to accomplish our mission including but not limited to residential, vocational, educational social and health care programs.

  2. Promote dignity, individualism and choice to all individuals served.

  3. Provide leadership, collaboration and partnership within the communities to individuals served, public and private sectors and other stakeholders.

  4. Be innovative and instrumental in building communities that support the mental and physical health and well-being of individuals and families.

  5. Provide education and training to individuals, families, employees and the community related to our mission.

SIRF Staff

Prior to employment SIRF staff are screened using criminal, adult abuse and child abuse background checks, plus drug tests. All SIRF staff have received training in CPR, first aid, mandatory reporting, medication management, consumer rights and HIPPA certification.  All SIRF staff have also received training as required by State and Federal regulations and accreditation requirements.

 

Prior to employment SIRF staff are screened using criminal, adult abuse and child abuse background checks, plus drug tests.
